Nuclear power is one of the most efficient energy source. But nuclear plant can cause tremendous disaster. The number of nuclear plants in Korea should be decreased because they have posibility of rediation leak, remain a number of nuclear waste and cause the rise of sea temperature.
First, nuclear plants have risk of releasing rediation. Nuclear crisis of Chernovyl in Ukraine and Fukushima in Japan terrified people all the world. Both regions were polluted by rediation and people who live in those place needed to move to another place. In case of Fukushima, it also cause marine pollution. Rediation leak traveled to Pacific Ocean and it spread all around world.
Redioactive waste is another reason for stoping nuclear power generation. There are no way to entirely manage the nuclear waste. Many country which use nuclear power take action to put the rediation active waste in drum and bury it underground or in deep sea. If such burial continued, it will cause ground failure or ocean pollution.
Finally, nuclear plants can cause the rise of sea temperature. In the process of nuclear power generation, cooling water is one of the most important section. So most of nuclear plants were built near the seashore and used sea water to the coolant. After cooling the plants, hot water flaw into sea. It makes sea temperature rise and influence the marine life.
To sum up, there are three reasons to decrease nuclear plants: risk of rediation, problem of dealing with rediation waste and the rise of sea temperature.
