Topic: Problems of Social Media
Topic sentence:
Today, a lot of people use social media, but there are many problems of it.
Supporting points:
1. Easy to become addicted:
a. real-time communication, various contents
b. if fail to control the time spent on using social media, then too much time is wasted
2. Once uploaded, it is irreversible:
a. can be spread so fast because people can share it at any time once the content is uploaded
b. very hard to correct wrongly spread information
c. public opinion is usually formed based on gossips through social media and it leads to a severe witch-hunting.
3. Can be misused as a means of crime:
a. can know all the time what other people are doing through their social media
b. ex ① burglaries can be committed when people go on a trip, if they upload any pictures that allow others to know that they're on a trip
c. ex ② suffer from stalking because anyone can get information about what someone is doing by searching for that person's social media
